The Unknown
Sometimes it amazes me how easy it is for Satan and his minions to worm their way into our minds when it comes to the unknown. With the unknown, he is able to easily introduce fear. It is that fear that chases the spirit away. It is that fear that makes it so easy to stop and turn the other way.
Recently, we have had a great deal of unknown in our lives, whether it is at home, school, work, health, friends, or other things. I think all of us have experienced it. As faithful children of our Father in Heaven, we seek his guidance in prayer. When we receive our answer, when there is peace in what we should do, or when we feel no conflicting thoughts to sway us the other way. We get up from our knees with the resolve to move forward.
As we move further and further away from that prayer and closer to moving forward, we realized that even though we have received confirmation from our Heavenly Father, there is still unknowns out there. Sometimes we have to move outside of our comfort zone. We have to step forward in faith. It is then that Satan moves in and tries to sway us. He introduces all of the fears, doubts, troubles, and what if's that he can to make us forget the original peace we felt when seeking guidance.
It is my witness that at these times, we need, more than ever to move forward in faith. We need to find ourselves back on our knees seeking strength and re-assurance of that initial confirmation. I know that it will come. The fears will shrink. We will be able to move forward.
This is not easy. It requires a great deal of dedication on our part. We must trust that all will work out for the best. Don't put it off, move forward. There is nothing that we are tasked with that we cannot accomplish. The Lord has promised this. I know this.
