He Is
After getting a few things settled this morning, I took the opportunity to visit some of those social networking sites. It was interesting to me how many people had posted their happy wishes of the Easter morning. Some talked of family, hunts, food, and enjoyment. However, I felt the absences of Christ.
We have now spent the day listening to words of inspired men and women. I have been touched by their words, their testimonies, and their witness that Christ is. He lives. He is our Saviour.
We have heard many stories of courageous and faithful families who face the trials of life. We have been bolstered by their examples and diligence in moving forward in life, regardless of the challenges placed before them.
As the closing remarks were made, I have felt that it is important to add my witness. I don't know that I can put to words the overwhelming convictions I have received this weekend. I just know that they are. I know beyond any shadow of doubt where these feelings and knowledge of conviction come from. These feelings are not new to me. I know that I have a loving father in heaven who is aware of me, my needs, my desires, and my wants. He is the great designer of the world we live in.
I pray that family and each of my children will know of and always remember the desires of my heart are that they too may know these things for themselves. I am not perfect. I know that not all of my wants are righteous in nature, of these things I seek to repent. It is a never ending process that turns me to my Redeemer.
I have been reminded again this day that I cannot force my testimony or witness upon you, but can only fan the flames of your own personal witness. I hope that you will forgive me if you have felt that I have been over bearing or forceful in these things. It is not my intent. My intent is only to know that you have received that which I hold sacred and cherish so dearly in my life.
I encourage each of you to kindle your one personal flames. Turn to the Lord that you may know him as I do. I love each of you. My heart and soul are filled with joy as I witness your righteous pursuits and desires. I am sorry if I have not told you each of this joy enough.
If you find yourselves in a stage of pause or distraction that is not leading you back to God's Kingdom, I encourage you to change. Reflect, ponder, and pray over the counsel that has been given us this weekend. Set goals in your personal lives to apply them on a daily basis. Take it one day at a time. He is at your side. This I know and testify in His name, Jesus Christ.
