What it covers

Since it Sunday, I decided that maybe I should talk about a Sunday subject. I was reading the New ERA today and thinking about all the things that are going on in my life. That is when this thought hit me.

In 2 Nephi 2:25, we read the age old scripture mastery scripture about Adam and joy. It says that Adam fell. Where did he fall from? What does it mean to fall? Was he going from a place of paradise to a place that wasn't so much that way? Then it says that man is that he might have joy. Is that our goal? We are supposed to find, obtain, or have joy as mortal beings? What happens when we aren't?

Think about those for a second or two and then lets move to Alma 7:11-12. This talking about the Atonement. I want you to take note that not once is the word sin mentioned in these verses. Christ did not only offer himself as a blood sacrifice for our sins, but he suffered for all of our suffering, pain, anguish, and sadness. It was the only way that He could truly understand us and show mercy to us. So does that mean that when we are not finding, obtaining, or having joy in our lives, we are causing part of Christ suffering? What can we do that he does not have to suffer more for us?

A final note Alma 19:6. The Light was infused. Here is another topic I would like to research more, but can't due to a meeting I am going to. Maybe next time.

Love ya,

Dad
