1 Nephi 2:12
Why didn't Laman and Lemuel know the dealings of God and he who had created them? Why don't any of us?We must each build our own relationship with God. He is there. He is waiting to hear, help, and communicate with us. We just have to open the door. No one can do it for us. We have to express the interest. If we are not willing the spirit wil not or cannot enter our hearts.Laman and Lemuel did not seek him out. Even when encourage. Your parents, friends, loved ones, can do all the encouragement they want, but if you are not willing to seek your selft with true intent, it is for not. How often do we ignore the opportunities? How often do we put the world before righteousness.We all need to work on it. I need to work on it. We need to be closer and more open to the promptings. We need to learn to recognize the spirit. We need to know God and he who created us.How do we teach our children to do this? How do they become like Sam and Nephi? How to they learn not to murmur? What is it that they are murmuring about? We need to stop. We need to heed the promptings and move forward.
