Focus
I know it seems like I have been skipping days, but I am not doing it intentionally. Yesterday I spent the day in Houston, well 7 hours of the day. There were also 7 hour with my behind planted in the seat of an aircraft. It made for a long day. By the time I got home it was time to go to bed. I was beat. I really did not sleep on the plane. I was surprised.
Any way, I was inspired in many ways. I would like to share a thought I had. I was reading in this months Ensign. The talk or interview with Sister Beck. She made a comment that I thought was very important. It touched me. She was asked what are the blessings of focusing R.S. activities on the Lord's work of salvation? Her reply was about vision. A united people. A people united in purpose. I like that idea.
Are we united? What are we united to? Sister Beck talked about the importance of focusing on the important things in life, not the frivolous. When doing so, we find confidence in ourselves and our spirituality. We are lifted, we are carried, and able to call upon the angels from heaven.
So the question is, what is important over frivolous? Do we let the little things in life weigh us down? I hope not. Take some time to find your priorities and make sure they are in line with the Lord's. Take some time to figure out if you are spending too much time on the frivolous and not the important. You will be amazed at how much important gets done and frivolous is just an added blessing.
