Wii

I am going to try and make up for the week. I know it is a surprise to see me here at all, but I am here. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before I am able to sit down at a regular desktop instead of waiting for the laptop. Then I will probably be battling the boys for my turn. We will say.

Today, I would like to talk about my Mother-in-law. I know that I like to make fun of her. She is an easy target. However, I would also like you all to know how much she amazes me. She does so much for others. We can all learn from her. She is selfless. I need to develop that characteristic in my own life.

This past week, she went all out and purchased a Wii Fit for the Queen's birthday. It is a fun little toy. I don't always like getting on it and having it tell me how overweight I am. At first it was kind of demoralizing. However, the more I think about it and the things that little computer voice tells me are really more positive than negative. It is me that is putting the negative spin on things.

I try to get on each day and let it tell me how well I am doing. It has helped me set a goal and then tells me where I am in regards to my progress at obtaining that goal. It encourages me to do better. I like that part.

As I work towards this goal, I know that there are days that I just hate doing the work out of any kind, but I keep it up. I have to. This is just one extra tool to help me stay on track. This morning I was thinking about that. I wonder where I am spiritually. Have I set the same types of goals? Do I work at them the way I would work at working out or development in the work place? Are you setting the same types of goals?

We should. We need to form little support groups that help us stay focused on the goals. When we are all interested in reading the scriptures, we help each other, but if it is just Mom or Dad forcing us to read, it is not the same. Mom and Dad have down days as well. Like I mentioned yesterday, we need to unite in the important things not the frivolous. We need to help each other stay on track. We need to stay together.
