From the Eagles Nest
Last night a young man from our ward was introduced to the Eagle's Nest. I was impressed with the presentation, remarks, and induction. It has been a good experience for him. Hopefully, we be able to invite you to a few of these courts in the future.
As I have pondered the events of the evening, I am drawn back to some comments his grandfather shared with him. It sounded like it was a traditional saying that he shared with his grandson when ever they counseled together.
Know Yourself-
Control Yourself-
Share Yourself-
On each of these he elaborated as they pertained to this young eaglet. As I walked away, I pondered the way I would elaborate. I thought about ways that I might counsel with each of you. Then I realized, that like this young man, each of you are different. I don't believe I could share an over all counsel, but individually so, as I see and know who you are.
As I pondered each of you, I become overwhelmed with the thoughts and impressions of our Father in Heaven doing the same thing. I took my primary class to a high point of the Oquirrih Front this afternoon so they could understand how many people were in the Camp of Israel, approximately. As I looked over the valley, it struck me that He knows billions and billions more, individually.
How does he do it? I don't know, but I know that he does. I know that he knows me. I know that he shares his counsel with me, individually. Do you know?
