Adventure in Our Own Right
For those of you who don't know, Bubbles needed a physical. What we thought would be a minor procedure turned out to be minor surgery.
We were informed on Friday evening that she was released to come home, but we really did not have a good way to pick her up. Tenor Man, Horn Man, and I decided on the spur of the moment that we would take public transportation to get as close to Dr. Woody's office and have some one pick us up to get distance we were short.
We left the house about 4:30. After battling bus stop ticket machine and missing one bus, we stepped on our first ride about 5:15. We then spent the next 2 hours riding, observing, and shaking our heads.
It is nice to be reminded that the world is full of very diverse individuals. If ever you need a reminder, jump on a bus. One kid had hair that was so long that it wrapped around his head. I don't know what was more challenging, talking through his hair or continually having to re-wrap it round his head. There was even a couple of guys that had to have a healthy little push up contest, right there on the train floor. I think they made it through two push ups before both of them started complaining about how sore they were from previous workouts. It was very interesting.
Thanks to a special little family that was kind enough to pick up Bubbles and bring her to us at the last stop of the train, we had a wonderful adventure. The best part was having a war with drumsticks in the parking lot and get a smile out of their little men.
Life is going OK.
