What is it with 8th Grade?

Well, I did not do an update yesterday.  We were having FHE and trying to prepare for  events later in the month. 

Now I am sitting here this evening, thinking that I should be inspired, but I then spent Valentine's Day at Parent/Teacher Conference.  Do I need to say more?  I just don't know what happens between 7th and 8th grade.  OK, maybe it does not happen to every individual, but it seems to happen here.

We made record time.  We were done and home with dinner on the table by 6:20.  Highlights of the meetings are:
             Advisory - passing, but could improve
            English - missing work
            Math - missing work
            Science - missing work
            History - teacher out, but the grade does not look to bad
            French - great improvement
            Band - good grade, sad he has lost interest
            Drama - good grade, but seems to have lost interest in play
            Gym - Great

The two polo studs are whining about the punishment they are going through.  They can barely move. 

Swing Man is trying desperately to keep it all together.  He leaving on his road trip tomorrow, but still has too much to do to get ready.  They plan on leaving at 7.  Laundry is in the dryer, he is at play practice, and tomorrow is coming quickly.
