Connectivity
This evening/morning, we had the opportunity to visit with the Queen for a few minutes. I started, Swing Man continued, and Horn Man wanted too. Horn Man felt a little slighted because he did not get to talk to her the night before. Unfortunately, the Queen lost her Internet/wireless connection in the hotel before had a chance.
When the connectivity was lost, I know that we sat in front of the computer wondering if it would come back up. We sent emails, we tried to send messages, and finally after a few minutes, we went about doing different things, this post for one, until the connection came back. We are sure that the Queen did the same thing.
Isn't this what we are suppose to do?
This evening Swing Man and I attended a mission preparation class. We talked about what the purpose/calling of a missionary was. Of all the things we talked about, the conversation keep coming back to bringing people unto Christ. I asked who we were supposed to be bring unto Christ. At first, the consensus was that we needed to bring those who did not know of Christ. Then we started talking about those who knew of Christ, but in a way had lost their connection.
It was the source of good conversation. It was a good reminder that all of us have had those awesome moments when the connection is so strong and powerful that it become ingrained to part of our being. Unfortunately, we let the activities of life nudge us out or away from that point of connection. We get caught up in all sorts of things. Like carrying on a conversation for several minutes before we realize that we are no longer connected.
What do we do? What are we suppose to do? We continue on in faith. We make the changes/adjustments necessary to bring us back into connectivity. Some times we get one bar and then there are times we get all five. The important thing is that we continue working towards it.
How is your connection?
