#LIGHTtheWORLD Dec 25
Being a Disciple of Christ. Isn't that what we have been doing all month? I watched a video a couple days ago that had a message about Gratitude. This family woke up with everything they had been given wrapped up in holiday paper. They unwrapped them with excitement and amazement.
1 - they were each wrapped in paper - life is a gift.
2 - husband and wife unwrapped each other, then the kids, and then the family was unwrapping each other together - family is a gift.
3 - their beds were wrapped
4 - their closets and dressers were wrapped
5 - shoes were wrapped
6 - breakfast was wrapped
7 - the house was wrapped
8 - outside the trees, bushes, and such were wrapped
9 - they kids were excited about school
10 - Dad was excited about going to work
The list kept going and going. It was so true. We have been given so much, but do we open each day with the excitement of Christmas; the gift He has given us? What if we did? What if every opportunity to share, learn, grow, etc was viewed with same excitement and enthusiasm of Christmas morning?
All these thoughts came together as I visited with family and friends about their Christmas experiences. Ehl-Bo was up super early, anticipating the Season. Songbird was giddy about how her family decorates and lights their lives with Christmas cheer. Tall Man was bubbling with excitement to share what he had been given.
What if we did this everyday? But with those things that we see as mundane life. Isn't that what being a disciple of Christ is all about? Living Life with vigor! Lighting the world with all that He has given us.
Think about it. Make a choice. Act upon it. Be a LIGHT to the WORLD!
