We ARE. Hence He IS. Thus is it all.

Well, it has been just another one of those boring weeks here on our home front.  I started the week out in Chicago for a couple days, flew home and spent the week sleeping, eating, and working.  Isn't that what we do?  I was think about that yesterday in the temple.  The whole creation and such.  We got to the Garden of Eden and I started wondering what people really think of life in the Garden was like.  Have you ever pondered it?  The phrase that caught my attention was when God tells Adam and Eve that this Garden was prepared for them.  The World was created for them, but they were going to start in the Garden and be given responsibility to tend to and care for the up keep of the Garden.  They were not just hanging out in grass huts, sipping coconut milk, and swinging in hammocks.  They were working.  They had responsibility.  They were sleeping, eating, and working; every day!  We are told that the same social networks that exists in this life will exist in the life here after.  We won't be on clouds, strumming harps, and lounging around in white robes.  We will be working.  I don't know the logistics of it all, but I have a feeling it will be much the same, sleeping, eating, and working, just on an elevated level.  So I guess when I say boring, mundane, or such, it is just life.  What kind of life it is depends on the choices we make, what we choose to make of it, and how we live it.  But I am completely off topic for my thoughts today.  You just got a bonus thought.

My real thoughts, well one of my real thoughts among many, has been on 2 Nephi 2:13.  I am going to take some creative liberties and start from the bottom and work my way up on this one.  It better defines my thoughts and my witness this week.

I am here.  I exist.  You are here.  You exist.  Look around.  There is so much we do not understand and some that we do.  But all things, the things you see, hear, touch, smell, and feel are here with a purpose.  They have been organized, some say created, but I truly like the word organized better.  They have been organized with purpose.  Purpose for us and themselves in their own rights and sphere of existence.  Maybe the better word would be experience.  Note that I am saying all things are experiencing a life of some sort, being organized with order, commands, roles, and responsibilities.  God's purpose and plan for us: exaltation, eternal life, the whole kit and caboodle.  We exist.  He exists.

What is that purpose?  That we might learn to be as He is.  That we might one day become what He is.  In order to do that, we must learn the facts of it all.  We all have choices.  He has choices.  He chooses to live according to a higher law.  He wants us to learn to live according to the higher law.  If we choose not to live such laws, there are consequences - misery and punishment.  Why because we are not able to fully participate the higher consequences of living the higher law - happiness and righteousness.  What is it called - opposition.  Choosing not to live this law is called a sin.  Anything that distances from God is a sin.  It does not make us bad people, it just means we are choosing a different path.

In the beginning, there was one who chose not to live this law/plan.  Because he made that choice, to sin or rebel against God, he became unhappy.  He was not living according to the law of righteousness.  When he realized what he was missing out on, instead of repenting/turning around/changing his choices, he chose to convince others to join him.  Maybe he thought if he had more join him, he would be happy.  He would have company, I don't remember.  There were many who did.  Many who followed.  Many who became unhappy for choosing to live a sinful/rebellious/unrighteous life.  As a result, they were required to receive punishment.  That punishment led to deep misery.

Now, they will not have the option of progressing.  They see and know what we can become.  What they can never have.  They do there best to deny that it even exists.  They would have us believe that it can never happen.  They will do all that they can to have you and me join them in that misery.  Don't give in.  Keep moving forward.  Continue making those tweaks, changes, adjustments that will align with His law.  It is not easy.  It requires getting up everyday eating, working, sleeping.  Repeat.

Now, just like the one who chose to rebel, remember that there were many more who chose to follow or commit to living the higher law, no matter how hard it is.  We are here with them.  We are all working our way towards that higher plane.   We are not alone.  Though our challenges may be different, they are challenges all the same.  Part of the plan is to get there together.  Let's fulfill our purposes, choosing to do it with happiness and in righteousness.

So there you go, on with the week:

I was traveling, working, and such.  Not much happened there.

The Queen has been counting down the days to vacation.  It has made the week go faster.  The last few days of the work week were rough with the humongous storm hitting the Mid to North East this weekend, but she survived.

The Professor has been taking it easy on her first week off.  She spent some time cleaning, sleeping, shopping, reading, and preparing for the holidays.

Tall Man and Ehl-Bo dropped by a couple times.  We had a wonderful late night visit from Tall Man late in the week and then they both stopped by yesterday.  Practice for the next production has started.  Current production is in the works.  They are both pursuing several opportunities afforded to them.

That is about it for us.  Know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
