1 Nephi 4:2
Wow! Let us be strong like unto Moses! He stood up to Pharaoh. This like standing up to kings, emperors, presidents, tyrants, traitors, and magistrates... Do we? Do we stand up to our neighbors, co-workers, bullies, or evil in our own little parts of the world? Are we any different than Nephi?
No, we are not. We too can be favored of the Lord. We to can command, no that is not the word I would use. Did Moses command or speak? Did he ask the waters to part? Does Heavenly Father ask or command? I like to think that he asks. We are asked to follow him, come unto him, be like him...etc. If we are obedient, then these are the things we too should do.
Nephi said he spake. He conversed. We can do the same, not in anger, not in spite, he confidently went before his brothers. We to need to do the same with those around us.
Moses had faith. Nephi had faith. They acted upon that faith. The Lord showed them who they were. They believed. They recognized the eternal power within each of them.
The question is whether or not we see that power within us. Do we know who we are? Do we recognize the potential we possess as sons and daughters of God? The seed is there. We must find it, nurture it and believe it will produce good fruit.
