Thinking

I have a couple thoughts today, but I will share one now and if I get stuff done that I need to, I will share the other one later since I did not share yesterday. It was a busy day. I just did not have the chance to update things at work.

So, anyway, I have been thinking about conference and the ideas and thoughts that have been impressed upon my mind. One of the things that I heard over and over again was Love. We need to Love God, Love Others, and be willing to receive the Love of God in our lives. This is such a broad subject. I could talk and talk about it. But I won't.

Last night in the temple, I was reading Jacob 2. Some where around the 16-20 area, Jacob talks about seeking first the kingdom of God and then seeking riches. He then says we will receive them if we seek them to do good. He then goes on to talk about serving others. Is this the Love of God?

As we continue reading, the first few verses of Chapter 3 talk about being firm in mind and faithful. If we do these things we will be allowed to feast upon the Love of God. These verses have me thinking a great deal about doing good for others. How do I, or we, start doing things things?

The start of this answer came to me today when I read a quote that went something like, We do not look at things as they are, but rather we look that them as we are. The first step to making change is to change the way we think. We have to stop looking at life as what is in it for me, but what can I do for others to make their lives better. We need to do our best to see things from their point of view and help improve upon the moment. Think about it, how to you see things?
