Control
I often worry about my control. Not that I want to control others, but the control I have over myself. I have learned that when I am not in control of myself, I have difficulty getting others to follow me. How did the Savior do it? How did he control his emotions, his desires, and weaknesses? We know that he was abused, harassed, and threatened. We also know that he has the power to shut down any adversary that confronted him. How did he stay in control?
There are a couple times in the scriptures that make it sound like he lost control. However, the more I think about it, the more I believe he was in total control. He did not hurt anyone, he may have scared them, but he did not hurt them.
He was trying to make a point. I wish I had the same control to make my points. Better yet, I wish that my points were his points. I desire to have his thoughts be mine. I want to know and do as he did and does. I just struggle to do it. I would hope that you would have the same desire. I promise you that when your thoughts and actions are in line with his, everything in your life will work in your favor. It may not happen the way you want it to, but they be in your favor. Find that control.
