Disconnected

I have been feeling disconnected the past few days. It is like I am walking through a fog. I don't feel like I have a purpose or goal. Everything is hazy. Have you ever felt that way?

I have learned over the years that when I am feeling this way, it is because I am slipping away from the Holy Ghost. I also find that this happens when my routine is changed or messed up. My shift changes, I go on vacation, or meetings are thrown at me at the last minute. This happens for a few days, and then I get this hazy feeling. It is then that I realize, I am not really giving the appropriate time or energy to scripture study, my prayers are just words and missing meaning, or I feel that I am losing touch with my family. Sometimes I start feeling the same way when it comes to Home Teaching as well or when I am not magnifying my calling the way I should.

So how do I clear the fog. I have a feeling it is the same way normal fog is cleared. We need to get closer to the light. I have to really start focusing on doing what I know I should be doing. I need to do it with intent, not just to go through the hoops. When I do this, everything in my life is clearer. I find that I have more energy. I am happier.

If you feel the same way, maybe you should look at your life to see what is making things foggy or MISTY. Don't get lost in the mist.
