Dreaming

We woke up this morning to a strange part of reality. The experience has had me thinking all day long. I have decided that our Heavenly Father is pretty much incredible. He has created a physical body that know only opens us to a mired of senses, feelings and experiences, but it also teaches us. It tells us when we are tired, when we have pushed too much, when we move the wrong way, or do something that we don't have the ability to do. Pretty amazing.

It also works in conjunction with our minds. Sometime a little to vividly. When our bodies are stressed or when we are feeling overwhelmed, guilty, or concerned about events or individuals in our lives, our bodies communicate to us. This often happens in dreams. Our bodies allow our minds to created vivid dreams that sometimes seem so real that it is hard to tell the difference between reality and non-reality. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is bad. It all depends on how we reacted to them.

Lehi had several dreams. They were real, vivid, messages that he was allowed to see and remember. He was concerned about these things, about his children, the people of Jerusalem, and his posterity. This dream was real to him. How did he deal with it? He did his best to help his children understand the correct paths to follow and the things to avoid in life. For some it worked, for others it did not.

How do we react to our dreams? Do they help us better understand the world around us, how we can or should deal with highly intense situations in life? Do they help us appreciate what we have more or who we have more in life? Are our dreams strong enough to make changes in our lives? Should they be? Should we be? All interesting questions, things to ponder, things to build upon.
