Just a repeat

This morning has been interesting. It has reminded me of the importance of agency. On the way to school, we drove past the bank parking lot. It looked like there was some kind of party going on. I could not imagine that happening at 7:35 in the morning, but they were loads of people there. Then I saw the truck. They were there, in our community, waiting for the food bank to open the back end of their trailer and start dispersing food.

It is scary, I wonder how they all got to that place or station in life. It is almost like we don't always see it around us, but there are people who are wanting, in need, going with out, and we just keep doing what we are doing because we may not be one of them. Life is good, so we choose not to do anything to help them. I feel guilty. I know that I am not just rolling in extra, but to see these people this morning reminded me that I can still give. I should be giving more. I have to make a choice.

Life is that way. We have to decide how we are going to deal with each and every choice that is placed before us. If the alarm goes off earlier than we would like it to or the phone rings later or earlier in the day than we would want it to. We have to choose how we are going to deal with it. If all our expectations are not being met, we choose to make changes in our lives so that they will be met or we choose to get angry, depress, or negative. Sometimes, we just want to give up.

If we see the problem, know how to solve it, but then cut corners to make it easier, the end result will not be what we want it to be. If we expect more from others, we should expect to give the same or more than we expect to others. Cutting corners, choosing not to do something, or hiding is not the answer. We should choose to give it our best in everything we do. When we are doing this, you will be surprised what the end results will be. Give it a shot.
