Scripture Thought 10/8/08
1 Nephi 1:18
Lehi didn't just dream, ponder, and pray...he went out to make a difference. It makes me wonder. Several time over the past few weeks, I have heard priesthood leaders talk about the meaning of Real Intent. It means that not only are we desirous to see something change, but that we are willing to do what ever it takes to make it happen.Did Lehi just go out and stand on the street corner telling the people what they should be doing, pointing fingers, and making accusations? Or did he serve them, love them, and encourage them to make changes in their lives? If he were here today, would we listen to him? Or would we be as the people of Jerusalem who mocked him, ridiculed him and sought his life? How are the leaders we have today any different than Lehi?
