Use it
The past few days I have been talking and thinking a great deal about time. My supervisors at work are always reminding me how important it is to use my time wisely, be as productive as I can. They also remind me that I need to take the time off I have earned. My questions is always, "To do what?" I can't see myself just sitting around the house with out a project. I can't see myself taking time off work, unless I have a purpose.
Then I think about this past Thursday. I sat around for 2 hours waiting for a plane to take off. I attended a 4 hour meeting and then I sat around for 5 hours for plane to take off. I did not even mention the 3 hours in each direction that felt like I was being unproductive. It drives me crazy sometimes.
Today, I was having a discussion that I have been thinking about all day. I extended a challenge. I have decided that I need to be challenged as well. It is time for me to live up to some of those random acts of spontaneity that I so willing encourage others to do. It may just get me out of this floating feeling that I have been experiencing lately.
However, it is not always true spontaneity. We have to do a little planning with the spontaneous ideas that we have. I will do it if you will do it.
